Michael Hallett is teacher, photographer and a cultural/photo historian.
For a while, in his youth, he was an entertainment manager at an independent holiday camp, and more recently qualified as a Green Badge Guide of the Heart of England Tourist Board. Both experiences may have some reflection on the way he sees the island.
He is a research fellow at the Centre for Fine Art Research (CFAR) at the Birmingham City University, and currently an Associate Academic in the Institute of Creative Arts at the University of Worcester.
The seventeenth of September, 2016 marked 60-years since Michael Hallett went to Bournemouth Municipal College of Art to study photography. Fragments (of an autobiography) will celebrate those 60-years as a professional photographer in words and pictures in various forms and on a variety of platforms.
